Summary: The last few films we've covered involving wishes have almost entirely been about how they can be literal murder. But hey, it doesn't always have to be such doom and gloom. Sometimes, it's less about sadism and more about teaching people some responsibility.

History: Ol' It here is what we call a "Psammead Crustacean Decapodlium Wishasaurus", or Sand Fairy. Living somewhere on the English coastlines close to a mansion, It is soon encountered by five siblings having to wait for their father to come back from WW1. He has the special ability to grant wishes, but on three conditions. One, the wishes might not be what the kids exactly want. Two, they only last until the day is over. And three, the ultimate purpose of these wishes is not to fulfill, but to teach humility and growth. But alas, things get hairy when the wishes bring forth suspicion on all ends.

Final Fate: After almost being dissected by a scientific brat and summoning a Tyrannosaurus Rex in the process, It is returned to his home safely, though the last wish he gets is for the father to come back. Sure enough, this happens, while It gets to live in relative peace.

Powers/Abilities: Can summon any wish, and may have some almost deity-like powers, such as appearing as an effigy in the clouds.

Weakness: Anything conventional. Also, his wishes only last one day.

Scariness Factor: 1.5-In spite of having limitless power, It is an alright fellow, ultimately wanting the best for everyone around him. He's a little obnoxious, but it's only when the wishes get out of hand should there be a cause for alarm. Also, the effects are rather dated.

Trivia: -It was played by Eddie Izzard, one of the most famous stand-up comedians of his time, and also a rather noted activist.

-This film was based on a novel of the same name. In that, It was a bit less cordial, and the stakes were a bit higher. For instance, according to It, wishes would usually turn to stone at the end of each day. Thankfully, It was flexible with wishes that would imperil the children too much.
